Best Pet Grooming Vacuums (2026): Brush the Dog, Not the Sofa

A pet grooming vacuum catches loose fur as you brush. These five kits differ in clipping tools, bin size and whether you can trim away from the hose.

Does brushing your dog leave you with a cleaner dog and a room full of fur? A grooming vacuum puts a suction hose behind the brush or clipper, catching hair while you’re removing it. That’s a different job from chasing it around the floor afterward, and it’s the reason to consider one even if you already own a good vacuum.

The useful differences aren’t the biggest suction number or the longest accessory list. They’re whether the tools suit your dog’s coat, whether the clipper works without the hose, and how often you’ll need to stop and empty the bin. A kit that includes nail and paw attachments can be useful, but it doesn’t automatically replace the skills of a groomer.

TL;DR - Our top pick: The Neakasa P2 Pro is our pick for routine brushing and hose-connected clipping: its 2L bin and detachable hose are useful upgrades over the P1 Pro for only $5 more at today’s prices. The oneisall BM3 makes more sense if you want a larger bin and separate paw/nail tools; Afloia is the lower-priced route to a rechargeable clipper.

Prices and the Exact Kits

Prices checked October 21, 2026, lowest first. These are new, one-time US offers, not Subscribe & Save or Prime-only prices. All five had active purchase controls. Tax is extra; delivery depends on your location. The furMe offer is sold and shipped by FurMe Official; the other four ship from Amazon. Case bundles and open-box offers are not included.

Brushing, Trimming and Cleanup Are Different Jobs

Brushing collects loose coat. Clippers cut hair to a chosen length. A crevice nozzle cleans the chair afterward. Those aren’t interchangeable attachments, even when a box counts all of them toward its “in-one” total.

Pick the Tool for the Coat, Not the Accessory Count

For a shedding dog that doesn’t need a haircut, start with a suitable brush. Buying clippers doesn’t create a reason to use them. The American Kennel Club’s double-coat guidance explains why routine shaving isn’t the answer for double-coated dogs. Ask your groomer which attachment is appropriate, particularly around mats or sensitive skin; a powered kit isn’t permission to cut through a problem you can’t safely inspect.

For regular trims, decide where you’ll work. If the dog will sit beside the hose, connected clipping can collect the cut hair. If you need to move around for a small touch-up, a rechargeable clipper is more convenient, but detached use means detached hair collection too. Afloia and the current BM3 kit cover that second route.

For a dog that dislikes the motor, a longer hose may give you more placement options, but no advertised decibel figure proves the dog will tolerate it. Start with the machine off, introduce its sound at a distance and keep early sessions short. Stop if your pet is distressed. A suitable hand brush, chosen using AKC’s brush guide, remains a perfectly sensible purchase instead.

1. Afloia LM1 Pink

Buy Afloia LM1 on Amazon ->

Pink Afloia LM1 with hose, rechargeable clipper and included grooming heads

Key specs: Clipper: rechargeable for individual use; Hose: 4.9 feet; Kit: six attachments; Storage: accessory bag included.

At $72.99, Afloia is the most affordable kit here with a clipper you can take away from the vacuum. The interchangeable paw-trimmer and nail-grinder heads add small-area grooming functions rather than another floor-cleaning nozzle. That flexibility is its main advantage over the P1 Pro.

The LM1 documentation explicitly supports individual clipper use. It doesn’t make the vacuum cordless: collecting hair still requires the powered base and hose. Don’t buy the extra heads merely to avoid asking a groomer how to use them safely. Skip Afloia if you mainly need more collection capacity rather than extra trimming functions; BM3 is the better-equipped larger-bin option.

2. Neakasa P1 Pro 6-in-1

Buy Neakasa P1 Pro on Amazon ->

Neakasa P1 Pro with compact canister, hose, clipper and guide combs

Image: Neakasa’s current 6-in-1 kit.

Key specs: Dust cup: 1L; Advertised maximum suction: 9,000Pa; Functions: grooming, raking, clipping, guide-comb trimming and two cleanup tools.

The $84.99 P1 Pro is the smaller-bin option for a manageable brushing session. Its grooming brush and rake do different coat-care jobs, while the clipper and guide combs set up a trimming session. Neakasa’s current six-function presentation counts guide-comb trimming separately; it isn’t six different powered grooming heads.

The P1 specifications establish the 1L bin, while the linked current-kit page shows the 6-in-1 assortment. Neakasa’s P1 operating FAQ explains filter cleaning and connected clipper use. Skip P1 at this price if you have room for P2: saving $5 is a poor trade if you regularly fill the smaller bin. Its case is compact storage, not a claim that it cleans better.

3. oneisall BM3 7-in-1

Buy oneisall BM3 on Amazon ->

oneisall BM3 clear 3L bin with cordless clipper and separate grooming heads

Image: oneisall.

Key specs: Dust cup: 3L; Kit: seven grooming and cleanup tools; Clipper guides: six combs; Detail heads: paw trimmer and nail grinder.

The $89.98 BM3 combines the largest bin in this group with cordless clipping and detail heads. That makes it the more useful package for someone who already does several grooming jobs at home, especially with more than one shedding pet. A bigger bin means more room for collected fur, not a guarantee that every coat can be finished without emptying it.

Check the current BM3 box contents: clipper, paw and nail heads, two coat brushes, roller, crevice tool, six combs and storage bag. Older five-tool descriptions don’t describe this selected seven-tool Amazon offer. We wouldn’t choose it solely for the advertised 13,000Pa figure; different makers’ suction claims aren’t a controlled pickup comparison. Skip BM3 if you won’t use the trimming attachments and prefer the P2’s simpler grooming-and-cleanup kit.

4. Neakasa P2 Pro

Buy Neakasa P2 Pro on Amazon ->

Neakasa P2 Pro with 2L collection container and five attachments

Image: Neakasa. Manufacturer promotional image.

Key specs: Dust cup: 2L; Hose: detachable, 59 inches; Kit: five tools; Rated power: 400W.

At $89.99, P2 is the straightforward upgrade for someone who wants to brush and clip with hair collection. The larger bin is twice the P1’s stated capacity, and the detachable hose is convenient when putting everything away. The official kit list includes a grooming brush, rake, electric clipper, cleaning brush and crevice tool.

That narrower kit is why we prefer it for routine coat care rather than treating the most attachments as the winner. It doesn’t include dedicated nail or paw-trimmer heads, and there isn’t a verified cordless-clipper feature to recommend here. Skip P2 if independent trimming is essential; buy Afloia or BM3 for that documented function. The 400W rating describes power consumption, not a measured grooming advantage.

5. furMe Professional PLUS FM-02

Buy furMe Professional PLUS on Amazon ->

furMe Professional PLUS black vacuum with hose and five-tool assortment

Image: furMe.

Key specs: Dust cup: 2L; Hose: detachable, 5.7 feet; Kit: five tools; Storage: built-in tool caddy.

The $179.99 Professional PLUS costs roughly twice as much as P2. Its longer hose and integrated attachment storage are the concrete reasons to consider spending more: you can position the base farther from your working spot and keep the tools with it. Neither difference proves it will be quieter to your dog or cut hair better.

The FM-02 page lists its grooming brush, deshedding brush, AirClipper and two cleanup attachments. It also specifically warns against using the deshedding brush on non-shedding breeds or sensitive skin. The selected Amazon offer is the five-tool kit, not a hard-case or nail-tool bundle. Skip furMe if hose reach and onboard storage won’t change your routine; P2 gives you the same stated bin capacity for much less.

Who Should Buy What

  • Routine brushing and connected clipping: P2 Pro, with room to collect more hair than P1.
  • Independent touch-ups at the lowest checked price: Afloia LM1.
  • Several grooming tasks and a larger collection bin: BM3.
  • Longer hose and organized tool storage: furMe Professional PLUS, if those conveniences justify the premium.

If the actual problem is accidents in carpet, these are the wrong machines: see our pet-stain carpet cleaner comparison. For a separate daily-care decision, our pet water fountain guide explains bowls, filters and cleaning access. Neither purchase is required to use a grooming kit.

FAQ

Will a grooming vacuum stop my dog shedding?

No. It collects hair removed during grooming; it doesn’t stop the coat’s shedding cycle. You’ll still need ordinary cleaning, and the right brushing routine depends on the coat. A collection percentage in an advertisement isn’t a promise that no fur will reach your sofa.

Can I use every attachment on any dog?

No. Brushes, rakes and clippers serve different purposes, and coat and skin condition matter. Follow the tool instructions and your groomer’s advice. In particular, furMe excludes its deshedding brush from use on non-shedding breeds and sensitive skin; don’t interpret a large kit as universally suitable.

Are any of these vacuums cordless?

The selected vacuum bases use mains power. Afloia and BM3 have rechargeable clipping tools that can work separately, but vacuum-assisted collection still needs the hose and powered base. “Cordless clipper” and “cordless vacuum” describe different things.

Which one is quietest?

The available manufacturer noise claims don’t establish a fair ranking: distance, suction setting and measurement method matter. Hose reach and a low setting can help you arrange an introduction, but neither guarantees acceptance. If your dog remains frightened, a hand brush and professional grooming may be a better plan.

Bottom Line

Start with the job you already do for your dog. For brushing and clipping with less loose hair around the room, Neakasa P2 Pro offers a sensible bin-and-hose upgrade at this price. For mobile touch-ups, the rechargeable tools in Afloia and BM3 matter more than another suction claim. Don’t spend twice as much unless furMe’s longer hose and storage solve a problem in your actual grooming space.
